- Do's
- A Borrower shall bring forth into the notice of the Dealing Assistant any discrepancy in the book (missing or torn out pages) at the time of its issue, otherwise borrower will be held responsible for any damage or mutilation noticed at the time of return of the document.
- Discrepancy (if any) in the Accession No. printed in the Issue-Slip and the exact Accession No. endorsed in the document must be immediately bring forth into the notice of Dealing Assistant.
- Stand in `Queue’ at Issue/Return Counter.
- Silence must be observed in the Library.
- Use your Library Membership card/Identity card for consulting the reference book(s) marked ``Reference Book/only for Consultation.
- Show your I-Card/Library membership card to consult and borrow book(s)
- Maintain discipline and cleanliness in and around the library.
- Keep library property and furniture in good condition.
- Every student must write his/her name in the entry register kept at the gate before entering inside the library.
- Library book(s) unless properly issued is strictly prohibited to be carried beyond the check-point. No Library book can be carried out without depositing signed copy of respective Issue-Slip at the check-point. Books issued on a given day can be returned on the same day if desired only after depositing the signed copy of the Issue-Slip at the Check-Point.
- Do consult the library staff if difficulty is faced while retrieving any information/document in the library.
- DON’TS:
- Do not bring inside the Library your personal property (such as bags, purse, personal books, printed materials etc) and library books issued on earlier dates unless it is required to be returned. Such personal belongings should be left at the property rack inside the library at own risk. It is advised not to keep your valuables, money bag etc at the property counter.
- Do not tear, fold page(s) or mark pages on any reading material of the library. This practice will render the book useless for others. Appropriate action will be taken against the defaulter.
- Do not misplace any library document(s)/book(s).
- Do not dislocate reading hall chairs and tables.
- Do not use Library Card of others as the card is non-transferable. However the member continues to be responsible for any loss, which library may suffer through the loss or misuse of one`s Library-Card.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
- Library is open to all the students of the college and staff members only. The students are entitled to borrow 4 books at a time for a maximum period of 10 days.
- Nobody will be permitted to bring bags, umbrellas, personal books and books of other libraries, printed materials, books of earlier date of issue and other similar personal property inside the college library.
- Students must carry their Identity-Cards/Library membership card.
- Students are expected to read the notice issued from time to time by the library put up on the library notice board. Ignorance about it will be no excuse.
- Any misuse of the library privileges will be considered as a serious breach of discipline and suitable action may be taken against the defaulter student.
- For issue of books, library membership card as well as I-card is to be shown at the issue counter.
- Any student if caught in possession of un-issued library book(s) beyond the check point will be penalized and a sum equivalent to double the cost of book(s) will be charged from him/her.
- Books returned after the due date will be charged Re.1.00/day for the first five days and Rs.3.00/day from the six day onwards as late return fine. During examination days it will be Rs.5.00/day. All such charges shall be payable through POS machine.
- Loss of library card should be reported immediately to the library and duplicate card can be had on payment of Rs.50.00.
- If any book/periodical is damaged or lost by the borrower he/she will have to replace it by a new book/periodical of the same or later edition.
